If you find your knees ache whenever it rains you’re not alone!
Although there is no conclusive research on the topic, according to Health many people report soreness in their knees and other joints when it’s wet outside.
Health reports it’s possible that drops in barometric pressure could be to blame. When the barometric pressure drops it causes changes in the fluid and tissue inside our joints, especially if your joint cartilage is damaged.
Rainy weather also keeps us inside, which could be another explanation for the pesky aches and pains that go along with damp weather. According to Health when it rains we are less active and when we are not moving our joints can become stiffer.
Easing sore knee pain can be as simple as applying heat or ice and getting some light exercise, Health reports.
