Oliva Munn got in tip-top shape for her role in X-Men: Apocalypse and dished to E! News how she obtained her perfectly taut physique.
Although filming has wrapped, the Newsroom actress revealed she’s kept up with her fitness routine she underwent in preparation to play “Psylocke” which included sword training. In an interview with E!‘s Sibley Scoles, she revealed, “I still do taekwondo and I have a sword closet at home. It’s really a great exercise for me to do.”
In addition to wielding a sword, she’s been doing some dancing. “I’ve been back in L.A. doing Body by Simone. You go in there and it’s crazy,” explaining it’s not your average dance class. “Going in there isn’t like a regular frilly…they’re like ballerinas who are hard core.”

Munn had plenty of motivation obtaining a perfectly toned bod, in part due her character’s wardrobe. “Psylocke’s outfit or uniform or suit or whatever you want to call it is very sexual,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve got like my thigh-highs and a halter, but the thing about that, and that was important, is that it doesn’t matter what I’m wearing as long as we’re all aware of who she is. She’s very strong and she’s very lethal and she’s very powerful, and it doesn’t really matter what she’s wearing as long as you have that strength and that presence.”
X-Men: Apocalypse is set to release on May 27, 2016.
