More shops have revealed they will buck the trend of opening on Thanksgiving and stay closed.
For the past few years many stores have opened their doors on Thanksgiving, allowing shoppers to get an early start on their Black Friday shopping, but store employees will be pleased to learn it looks as though things are about to change.
According to
BlackFriday.com the number of stores opting to stay shut on Thanksgiving are growing. This year it includes B.J’s Wholesale Club, Costco, Burlington, Crate and Barrel, H&M, IKEA, TJ Maxx, Neiman Marcus, Lowe’s and Marshalls, among others.
As of early October, the number of stores opting to stay closed on Thanksgiving was 56, but more are predicted to join the list.
