Jessica Simpson Under Fire for Letting 7-Year-Old Daughter Dye Hair

Jessica Simpson is receiving backlash after she posted a pic on Instagram showing her 7-year-old getting her hair colored.
The photo showed Simpson’s daughter Maxwell having her blonde tresses dyed purple in honor of the Descendants main character Mal, played by Dove Cameron.

“Inspired by The Descendants #901 girl #MAXIDREW,” Simpson captioned a pic of Maxwell showing off her new purple locks.
However, some fans were less than happy with Simpson’s decision to dye her daughter’s hair with the post receiving a slew of negative comments.
“Why start ruining her hair so young?” one Instagram user commented, with another chiding the singer writing, “If you are giving her everything she wants, you may be raising a lil monster.”
Fortunately, for Simpson, many came to Maxwell’s defense with one fan sharing, “Haters back off and raise your own kids. She looks awesome and kudos to Jessica for allowing her daughter to express herself. It is just hair. Calm down!”
