Abandoned ‘Unicorn’ Puppy Finds New Home

Narwhal, the ‘unicorn puppy’ has found a furrever home – and it’s with the lady who rescued him!
The daschund-beagle mix pup was found abandoned in a garbage dump. Upon closer inspection rescuers from Mac’s Mission realized the cute pup had a rare deformity.

Narwhal the Little Magical Furry Unicorn had a tail growing out from his forehead.
The cute pup – lovingly nicknamed ‘unicorn puppy’ – quickly went viral with Mac’s Mission receiving thousands of inquiries about the dog.

Rochelle Steffan, the founder of Mac’s Mission, initially planned to hold Narwhal temporarily to get him acclimated and make sure his ‘unicorn’ tail wasn’t causing health issues – but then things changed.
“I had no intention of initially keeping him,” Steffan told the Southeast Missourian. “I didn’t want a puppy. [But] Narwhal is absolutely, exactly what we needed. It’s not just a decision from me. The whole rescue cannot fathom him leaving. We all fell in love with him.”
