If the thought of slogging away on the treadmill fills you with dread, you may want to hop in the bath instead.
Researchers from Loughborough University in England found that 60 minutes of soaking in the tub may have benefits similar to exercising.
Bathers who sat in the bath for an hour burned 126 calories, similar to those you would burn on a 30 minute walk. The soak in the tub also showed potential for reducing chronic inflammation and better blood sugar control.
No tub at home? Stepping into a hot tub, or even lounging in a sauna will have similar effects.
