Spring 2017 could see a bowl of soup served up alongside your favorite Cafe Latte at Starbucks. The company announced they will start serving up a range of organic soups, including chicken and tomato soups.
At Starbucks’ Investor Day, global marketing officer, Sharon Rothstein, said with most of their business coming in after 11 a.m., the opportunity is there to add more food besides breakfast items.
With the sales of breakfast items increasing over the last few years, the company also announced plans to add two more items to their breakfast menu – a gluten-free breakfast sandwich, and Sous Vide Egg Bites.
Starbucks also revealed plans to add 12,000 cafes over the next five years, including 5,000 cafes in China.
