The class of 2020 have had a hard time of things thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. Not only did they have to finish off their last school semester at home via distance learning, many of them won’t even get to participate in a traditional high school graduation.
Krispy Kreme is looking to sweeten things up a little for the graduating class of 2020 by giving away a dozen – yes, a dozen – free doughnuts to all high school and college 2020 graduates.
“We feel for all of the high school and college seniors. We wish they had that moment of walking across the stage and getting their diploma,” Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme said in a statement. “We can’t replace that … but we thought we could help them safely have a little fun and enjoy a special ‘Graduate Dozen’ on us.”
The speciality box of doughnuts consists of six Yellow Iced Original Glazed doughnuts, 2 Strawberry Iced Kreme Filled, 2 Cake Batter Filled, and 2 Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled Doughnuts.
The free deal will take place on Tuesday, May 19 and to receive the delicious doughnuts, graduates must wear their cap and gown, or any “Class of 2020” apparel when visiting participating Krispy Kremes across the nation.
The 2020 Special Dozen will also be available for purchase at select locations from May 18 – 24, so “Moms, dads, friends, and family can buy this ‘Graduate Dozen’ all week long to honor their favorite graduates, but only seniors can get one for free,” Skena said.
