Model, Gigi Hadid, has received backlash on social media over her impression of incoming First Lady, Melania Trump.
Co-hosting the American Music Awards on Sunday evening, the 21-year-old daughter of
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Yolanda Foster, tried her hand at a Melania Trump impression.
Turning to the camera and speaking in an Eastern European accent, Hadid mocked Mrs. Trump’s earlier speech, saying, “I love my husband, President Barack Obama and our children, Sasha and Malia.”
Hadid revealed she had been working on her impression all week.
While the impression – with co-host, Jay Pharoah – received applause in the audience, back at home viewers were not happy and took to social media to voice their disappointment.
Naturally the election was a hot topic during the AMA’s with award presenters, Mark Cuban and Idina Menzel, taking aim at Trump and rock-band, Green Day, changing the lyrics of their song “Bang Bang” to sing, “No KKK, no fascist USA, no Trump.”
