Singer Demi Lovato is awake and stable following a suspected overdose, according to numerous media outlets.
The
Sorry Not Sorry former Disney star, who has been open about her battle with addiction, was rushed Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday following the suspected overdose.
The news comes just one week after Lovato revealed she had suffered a relapse after celebrating six years of sobriety earlier this year. Lovato, who turns 26 next month, opened up about her relapse in her latest song
Sober, singing “I’m sorry that I’m here again. I promise I’ll get help.”
A spokesperson for Lovato issued a statement saying, “Demi is awake and with her family, who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support. Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
