Following the announcement of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s new relationship status came another revelation by the country crooner.
Shelton teased his Twitter fans over the weekend, hinting toward a big reveal that was soon to come. He posted, “No chance yall are gonna guess this one. It’s just WAY too insane…”
The God Gave Me You singer revealed on Monday’s segment of the Today show that he would be hosting the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards!

When the show’s co-hosts, Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, asked how the hosting gig came about, Shelton informed viewers he had mentioned his desire to host the kid’s award show to his agent and the job followed. He added, “I want to get slimed!”
“I’ve been on countless stages throughout my life, but none have promised the madness, excitement and endless slime as Nick’s Kids’ Choice Awards, which is undoubtedly the ultimate party for kids,” the 39-year-old told People in a statement. “There is only one team here, and it’s Team Kids’ Choice so bring it on Nickelodeon!”
The Voice coach is set to take the award show stage on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
