America’s Got Talent judge – and one-time confirmed bachelor – Simon Cowell has popped the question!
The 62-year-old proposed to his long-term girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, in Barbados on Christmas Eve People reports – and best of all, their seven-year-old son Eric was there to share in the special moment.
“They are both super happy,” a source close to the couple told People. “They’ve been together a long time now and adore each other, so it’s not a huge surprise to their close friends.”
Barbados also holds a special place in their hearts as it’s where they first met.
According to the UK’s OK! magazine, Cowell revealed he knew his relationship with Silverman was special after surviving quarantine together during the early pandemic stages.
“COVID-19 was the real test,” Cowell told the mag back in 2021. “Like everyone, we were in lockdown for a long time and that’s when you realize whether or not you actually enjoy each other’s company or not.”
