Selena Gomez Hospitalized Following Emotional Breakdown

Singer Selena Gomez has been hospitalized following an emotional breakdown ET reports.
According to TMZ, Gomez went to the hospital twice in the last couple of weeks. The first visit resulted from the 26-year-old feeling “down” after an alarmingly low white-blood cell count. She was released days later, but returned after continuing to have health issues related to her kidney transplant. TMZ are reporting the health issues and the hospitalization caused Gomez to have an “emotional breakdown.”

As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. The Taki Taki singer is currently at an East Coast psychiatric facility where she is receiving dialectical behavior therapy.
“Selena has dealt with depression for a while and her and the people around her have always kept an eye on how she feels, even more so after her kidney transplant,” a source told ET. “Selena wasn’t feeling well and went to the hospital, as she does whenever she feels off. After further monitoring it was decided that Selena would seek treatment at a [mental health] facility.”
