Restaurant Chain Checking Customers Temperatures Amid COVID-19 Fears

A Chinese restaurant chain in California is taking a firm stance against the coronavirus by checking staff and patrons temperatures before they enter the stores.
According to Business Insider, Sichuan Impression – which has several locations in California – will turn away anyone with a temperature of 99.8 or higher. “We have family in China, so we understand the importance of doing everything we can to protect both our customers and our workers,” co-owner Kelly Xiao told the Orange County Register. “Everybody has a responsibility to do what they can do.”
Sichuan Impression began their temperature policy in late January. Staff are also monitored throughout their shifts.
