Rapper Pitbull has donated his private plane so that chemo patients in hurricane devastated Puerto Rico can be transported to the United States for medical treatment.
The Miami performer did not make any announcement of his good deeds on social media, but reportedly told CNN, “Thank God we’re blessed to help. Just doing my part.” Jenniffer Gonzàlez, who represents Puerto Rico in congress, took to Twitter to thank the star, writing in Spanish, “Thank you @Pitbull for lending your private plane to transport cancer patients from PR to USA so they can get chemo.”
After Hurricane Maria swept through the island as a category four hurricane only eleven of the Puerto Rico’s 69 hospitals have fuel and power. There are widespread power outages on the island and over half of Puerto Rico’s residents do not have access to water.
