It was the show that brought together Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, saw Lauren Conrad turn down a
Teen Vogue trip to Paris in order to spend time with her boyfriend, and witnessed the return of
Laguna Beach bad girl Kristin Cavallari.
Now MTV have announced the hit reality show
The Hills, which aired from 2006 to 2010, will return to the network and shared the exciting news during Monday’s VMA Awards show.
According to MTV,
The Hills: New Beginnings will “reunite some of the original castmembers alongside their children and friends, and follow their personal and professional lives while living in Los Angeles.”
Several original members of
The Hills were spotted at Monday’s VMA’s, including Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Stephanie Pratt and Justin Bobby. Missing were Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari (who currently stars in her own reality show on the E! Network titled
Very Cavallari) and Whitney Port, which has led many to surmise they won’t be participating in the reboot.
The Hills: New Beginnings will air on MTV in 2019.
