Goggles Add Another Layer of Protection Against Covid, Fauci Says

In an interview with ABC News medical correspondent Jennifer Ashton, Dr. Fauci recommended the use of eye protection as an additional barrier in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
During the interview Dr. Fauci was asked whether the U.S. could eventually reach a point where eye goggles would be worn to help curb the spread of the highly contagious virus.

“You know, it might,” Fauci warned, adding, “You have mucosal in the nose, mucosal in the mouth, but you also have mucosal in the eyes. Theoretically, you should protect all mucosal surfaces.”
Dr. Fauci told ABC’s Jennifer Ashton if you do have “goggles or a face shield, you should use it.”
