Drinking smoothies to help lose weight? While smoothies may seem healthy enough, sometimes we overload them with so much sugar and full fat dairy we actually end up gaining weight. But fear not! There are some ingredients we can add to our daily smoothie that help promote weight loss.
Cayenne Pepper
Just a pinch of cayenne pepper is all you need to add to your smoothie to help rev up your metabolism. Not only will it add a nice spicy little kick, it’s also proven to help aid weight loss.#smoothiesfordays #cayennepeppersmoothie #healthyfood #smoothieduty

Leafy Greens
Not only are dark leafy greens packed full of vitamins, they fill you up and are full of fiber. Start adding a small amount to your smoothies until you get used to taste then gradually start to increase the amounts you add.A post shared by marieke (@_food_enthusiast_) on
Matcha Green Tea Powder
Matcha Green Tea powder is made from fresh green tea leaves and we all know that green tea can enhance our metabolism. It’s also high in antioxidants, cancer-fighting properties and some research has shown it can actually help lower cholesterol. Drinking Matcha Green Tea helps the body burn fat faster and can also help remove heavy metals and toxins from the body. Try adding a teaspoon to your favorite smoothie.
Cinnamon
Research has shown that cinnamon helps regulate our blood sugar, thereby keeping cravings at bay which can ultimately help in weight loss. You don’t need to add a lot of cinnamon to your smoothie – a quarter teaspoon should do the trick.A post shared by LINA SABER (@tropicallylina) on
Chia Seeds
Loaded with protein and fiber Chia Seeds help keep you fuller for longer, thereby quelling mid-morning cravings to snack on something naughty. Chia Seeds are also packed full of antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids that help raise “good” cholesterol. To add to a smoothie soak 1 to 2 tablespoons of Chia Seeds in water for approximately ten minutes, or until they form a gel consistency.A post shared by Will Mignott (@willwrbcres) on
