Low in Carbs If you choose an almond milk with no additives you are consuming something low in carbs. It also has a low glycaemic index meaning your body will use the carbs as energy instead of storing the sugars as fat.
Low in Calories Regular unflavored almond milk is low in calories, much less than full fat milk.
No Cholesterol If you are watching your cholesterol you’ll be pleased to know almond milk has no cholesterol. It is however high in healthy fats like omega fatty acids which help prevent heart disease.
Calcium for Healthy Bones Almond milk doesn’t contain as much calcium as cows milk, but it still contains a good percentage of the daily recommended amount – about 30%. It is also a good source of vitamin D, which is needed in conjunction with calcium to maintain healthy bones.
