Actress, Carrie Fisher, best known for her role as Princess Leia in Star Wars, has passed away.
The 60-year-old suffered a massive heart attack during a transatlantic flight from London to Los Angeles. Upon landing the actress, also a renowned author, was rushed to a nearby hospital but failed to regain consciousness.

Star Wars co-stars paid their respects to the actress – who is the daughter of Hollywood royalty Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher – on social media.
Harrison Ford Tweeted he was “shocked and saddened to hear the news about my dear friend.”

Fisher’s daughter, Scream Queens star Billie Lourd, will care for Carrie’s famous therapy dog, Gary – a four-year-old French Bulldog.
