Say hello to Fitbit’s first smartwatch – the Fitbit Ionic.
The fitness smartwatch – Fitbit’s first foray into the smartwatch market – comes complete with music player, GPS, personal coaching and a multi-day battery life. Encased in a waterproof Corning Gorilla Glass 3 touchscreen, the Ionic has customizable clock faces, is bluetooth compatible and even allows users to make payments via the integrated NFC chip.
Fitbit say their new Fitbit Ionic smartwatch uses GLONASS to tap into global satellites giving users a stronger connection and more accurate stats.
Like other smartwatches on the market, the Fitbit Ionic allows users to stay connected with text, call and calendar notifications from apps such as Google and Facebook.
Available in charcoal and smoke gray, slate blue and burnt orange, and blue gray and silver gray color combinations, the Fitbit Ionic is currently available for pre-order at a retail price of $299.95.
