Country music superstar Carrie Underwood took to Instagram to give fans two new exciting updates.
First, the American Idol alum announced she will be going on tour to promote her new album Cry Pretty, which hits shelves September 14. However, the Cry Pretty tour won’t start until May 2019 and with good reason.
Videotaped with a gold ‘baby’ balloon unveiling above her head, an excited Underwood revealed the reason for the late start to the concert – she is expecting baby number two!
“You might be wondering or asking, ‘Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?’” Carrie teased fans. “Well – yay! Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond.”
“This has just been a dream come true with album and with baby news and all that stuff,” Carrie continued. “We’re just so excited and so glad you guys can share in this with us and be part of this with us. Love you guys! We will see you on the road in 2019.”
Underwood will host the CMA Awards in November before going on maternity leave prior to the Cry Pretty tour. Tickets for the tour, which will see Underwood supported by Maddie & Tae and Runaway June, go on sale August 17th.
