Britney Spears Announces Pregnancy Loss

A month after telling fans she was expecting a baby with her partner, Sam Asghari, Britney Spears shared she suffered a miscarriage.
The pop star, who was recently released from her father’s conservatorship, took to Instagram to announce the sad news, telling fans, “We lost our miracle baby.”
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy,” Britney shared with fans on social media. “This is a devastating time for any parent.”
“Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along,” the 40-year-old pop icon wrote on Instagram. “However we were overly excited to share the good news.”
“Our love for each other is our strength,” Britney continued. “We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.”
Spears is mom to two sons from her previous marriage to Kevin Federline.
