He may have over 500,000 subscribers on YouTube, but his arrest on Monday is probably something he won’t want to vlog about.
YouTube star Austin Jones was arrested on Monday and faces child porn charges after he allegedly requested sexually explicit videos from underage girls.
According to the Chicago Tribune Jones was charged on Tuesday with two counts of production of child pornography and faces a minimum of fifteen years in prison for each count if convicted.
This isn’t the first time the 24-year-old singer has been in trouble for requesting explicit footage. Back in 2015 he got caught lying about his age online in order to request videos of girls twerking. He admitted he was “in therapy, seeking help to discover why I communicated with my fans in a way that I have come to realize was not fully appropriate. I’m embarrassed,” Jones wrote on Facebook in 2015. “I’d have conversations online with girls that would involve me asking them to create videos of themselves twerking.”
