What Deals to Expect from This Year’s Amazon Prime Day Event

It’s nearly time for Amazon’s annual Prime Day event and this year promises shoppers more deals than ever!

The Prime-exclusive holiday takes place on July 15 and 16, with Amazon promising over a million deals throughout the course of 48 hours. The event starts on Monday, July 15 at 3 am EDT and ends Tuesday, July 16 at 3 am EDT.


Here are some of the deals to look out for!

Amazon will drastically reduce prices on some of their own tech, including:
50% off Amazon’s Echo Dot – $24.99
Amazon Fire Stick with HBO – $39.99 ($29 off the regular price)
Ring Video Doorbell Pro with a Free Echo Dot – $169
Fire TV Recast – $129.99 – a savings of 100 bucks!
Echo Input – $14.99 (normally $34.99) – the input allows users to add Alexa to an external speaker.

Prime Day will also feature great deals on a variety of different electronics, including laptops and televisions. Amazon will offer a great saving on a Surface Laptop (Core i5, 8GB, 256GB) for $650 – down from the usual price of $999 and an Apple Macbook Air for $999 ($200 off the regular price).

Apple iPad users can snag a 128GB Apple Ipad for $329 during the event – a savings of $100.

Various wearable fitness trackers will also be on sale, including the Fitbit Alta HR for $89 – normally retails for $129.95 – and the Series 3 Apple Watch for $229 (normally retails for $309).

The ever-popular Instant Pot DUO Plus 60 will be available for the bargain price of $49.99, a price drop of 50 bucks!

Other deals include 85% off various magazine subscriptions and four months of Amazon Unlimited Music for 99 cents – just beware to cancel your subscription before the end of the period otherwise you will be automatically charged $7.99 per month.

How to Prep for Prime Day:

You can add some funds to your Prime Day account by shopping at Whole Foods – spend $10 at Whole Foods and get a $10 Amazon credit good for use during Prime Day.

Download the Amazon app to your mobile device for sneak peeks of Prime Day deals before they launch. You can also set up alerts to be notified of deals as they pop up.
