Tori Spelling has confirmed the original cast of Beverly Hills 90210 will be coming back for a reboot of the show – but with a twist.
In an interview with Access, Spelling – who starred as Donna Martin on the hit 90’s show – revealed the cast will be coming back to play “heightened versions of themselves.”

“The fans will be pleasantly surprised, though, because we will intercut that with scenes from the show,” Spelling shared with Access. “So it’ll be a whole ensemble cast playing a heightened version of themselves.”
According to Spelling, almost all of the original cast is set to return for the 90210 reboot, including Luke Perry who will work around his current hit show Riverdale to do as many episodes as he can.
As of yet though there is still no status on Shannon Doherty, who recently underwent a battle with breast cancer.
“The cast would love to have her on,” Spelling told Access about Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh on the show.
The original Beverly Hills 90210 ran for 10 seasons from 1990 to 2000 and followed a group of privileged students as they attended West Beverly High School and navigated life after graduation.
