The Legally Blonde star took to social media to share the heartbreaking news, writing, “I am disabled. I fall sometimes. I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken gps. But we are doing it.”
Forty-six-year-old Blair revealed she has probably been suffering with MS for the past fifteen years, but was only officially diagnosed in August after suffering a myriad of symptoms.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Selma Blair (@selmablair) on
Currently, starring in the Netflix Sci-Fi drama Another Life, Blair shared her diagnosis hoping to help others, writing on Instagram, “I am in the thick of it, but I hope to give some hope to others. And even to myself. You can’t get help unless you ask. It can be overwhelming in the beginning.”
Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that affects the central nervous system, interrupting the flow of information within the brain and between the brain and the body. Although symptoms of MS vary from person to person, they can include numbness and tingling, walking difficulties, vision problems, fatigue, weakness and dizziness.
