Lisa Rinna’s Secret to Healthy Toned Abs

At 56 she has a body most 20-somethings would die for and when it comes to staying in tip-top shape Lisa Rinna says it’s all about “consistency.”

“For me, staying in shape has always been a part of my life and it’s all about consistency,” Rinna told OWN. “I started working out at a very young age. I started playing competitive tennis, and I’ve worked out my whole life. For me, working out is like brushing my teeth.”


According to Prevention, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star credits yoga and dancing with keeping her abs strong and toned. Rinna also likes to mix up her workout routine by throwing in a spin class during the week, or simply going for a walk or a hike.

“I’m always doing something. I just do, because I feel better,” she told OWN of her consistency with exercise. “If I feel better, I’m nicer. If I’m nicer, my life goes better.”

When it comes to food, Prevention reveals Rinna typically sticks to a plant-based diet, but will occasionally add a little meat.

“I tend to call myself a dirty vegan,” Prevention reports Rinna as sharing. “I’m mostly plant-based—but if I do need to eat some meat, I’ll have it.”
