It’s the Netflix documentary you’ve either binge-watched, or turned off 15 minutes into the first episode! Whether it’s because we have all been practicing social distancing at home with nothing else to do, or that the show – based on real life events – is so completely bizarre,
Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness has become a huge hit for streaming service Netflix.
There is no doubt the documentary has taken the nation by storm and propelled convicted murder-for-hire criminal Joe Exotic and a supporting cast of strange characters into the limelight.
So, could a Hollywood movie be made about the weird and bizarre murder-for-hire-plot at the center of the
Tiger King documentary, and if so, who would play Joe Exotic?
According to
The Hollywood Reporter, Joe Exotic has two actors in mind.
The Hollywood Reporter spoke to the co-directors of
Tiger King, Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin, to find out who Joe would like to play him in the Hollywood version.
According to
The Hollywood Reporter, Chaiklin revealed Joe Exotic would love either Brad Pitt (naturally) or David Spade to play him should the story be made into a film.
There’s just one important catch though.
According to Chaiklin, Joe doesn’t refer to David Spade as David Spade, he refers to him as “Joe Dirt!”
