Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged!
According to CNN, Lopez announced the news by sharing an emotional video on her website, OnTheJLo.com, where she sported a green engagement ring.
According to People, Lopez revealed the color green in her new engagement ring has a special meaning to her.
“I’ve realized there are many moments in my life where amazing things happened when I was wearing green,” Lopez told fans in a newsletter published on her website.
Lopez and Affleck were previously engaged in 2002 when Affleck popped the question with a pink engagement ring. The couple called off the engagement in 2004 and went their separate ways before rekindling their romance in 2021.
Lopez opened up about her rekindled romance with Affleck during a February interview with People.
“We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things,” Lopez told the mag.
“It’s a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other,” Lopez told People. “We always did, but we have even more of an appreciation because we know that life can take you in different directions.”
