After announcing their intent to divorce back in September, a representative for Angelina Jolie revealed a custody agreement has been reached between the actress and Brad Pitt.
According to the statement, the couple’s six children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne – will remain in Angelina’s custody. “We can confirm that childcare professionals have encouraged a legal agreement accepted and signed by both sides over a week ago,” the statement from a representative for Jolie read. “In accordance with the agreement, the six children will stay in their mother’s custody, and the children will continue therapeutic visits with their father. This has been determined by childcare professionals to be in the children’s best interest.”
The statement also urged for “sensitivity of the family situation” and asked for “consideration during this difficult time.”
Brad Pitt’s camp have not issued a comment regarding a custody agreement. Just last Friday Pitt filed a request in court for joint custody of their children.
