Carrie Underwood, who is expecting her second child with husband Mike Fisher, has opened up about miscarriages she suffered in 2017 and 2018 and the devastation she felt.
In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning Carrie revealed she suffered three miscarriages before getting pregnant, losing two pregnancies in 2017 and a third in 2018.
“In the beginning it was like, ‘OK God, we know this…just wasn’t your timing. And that is alright. We will bounce back and figure our way through this,’” Carrie bravely told CBS Sunday Morning.
But after suffering a third miscarriage Carrie revealed it was “kind of like, okay, what’s the deal?”
“Why on earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can’t have a kid? Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door, or let me have a kid,” Carrie said of her feelings at the time.
Through it all the American Idol, singer tried to stay positive, telling CBS Sunday Morning, “I have this amazing life. Like really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, and incredible job, and incredible kid. Can I be mad? No. And I got mad.”
Fortunately, for Carrie, although she says those experiences “sucked so much” she is happy to be finally giving her 3 ½ year-old son Isaiah Michael a sibling.
