Blake Lively Graces Cover of Marie Claire – Opens Up About Being a Mother

Actress Blake Lively appeared on the cover of Marie Claire UK‘s August issue, looking flawless in an open-back red dress. The Shallows star got candid in an interview with the mag, opening up about being a mother and being pregnant with baby No. 2.
The 28-year-old actress talks about the importance of family, being married to her husband Ryan Reynolds and life with their 1-year-old daughter James.

“Our child hasn’t had the opportunity to choose whether or not she wants her personal life to be public or not. So in order to give her as much normality as possible, we want her to have a childhood like we had.” She continued, “We can’t really throw her into the lion’s den that is L.A. Not that we really want to.”
She explained the balance struggle between her personal and professional life that sometimes occurs.
“I’m always ambitious about filmmaking. But I love my personal life so much – and my family so much – that it takes a lot to make me want to leave the house. Most of the things I do, I fight for. But to want to fight for something? I have to be really stimulated by it,” she explained to Marie Claire.
