Workers are returning to their workplaces at record rates

According to reported data, Americans are returning to work at the fastest pace since the pandemic’s start as the COVID threat continues to recede and employers increase pressure on employees to come in.

Office utilization between September 8 and 14 in 10 major metro areas was, on average, 47.5 percent below early 2020 norms, according to Kastle Systems, a business that tracks security pass swipes into buildings.

Its the highest rates seen since late March 2020, when the pandemic caused mass remote working to start in earnest across the nation

The best results are being seen during the weekdays, with Tuesday and Wednesday of last week seeing rates of about 55% of pre-pandemic workforce levels, which, according to Kastle, was a pandemic high for those days.
