Ulta to Offer Shop-in-Shops Inside Target Stores Next Year

Makeup aficionados will soon have a new way to replenish their beauty supplies with Ulta Beauty announcing they will open Shop-in-Shops inside Target stores by 2021.
According to a press release, Target will initially start with 100 stores and expand over time, with 1,000 square foot Ulta Beauty shop-in-shops located next to its beauty section. “In partnership with Ulta Beauty, we are able to expand our growing beauty business,” Target Chairman and Chief Executive Brian Cornell said in a statement.
According to The Street, customers will also be able to shop online through Target’s app or website and get free shipping and same-day delivery for Ulta’s products.
An Ulta spokesperson told Fortune the shops will offer 40 brands that Target doesn’t currently carry and will include higher-end products.
