No Royal Wedding Invite? Here’s How to Watch the Big Event

So you didn’t get an invitation to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding? Not to worry – you can still rise inexcusably early on Saturday morning to watch Harry marry American actress Meghan in what may be one of the most watched weddings in history. It has been reported over 2 billion people worldwide tuned in to watch the 2011 royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton – and from the looks of things Harry and Meghan’s may surpass that number with USA Today predicting the event could see over 3 billion people watching via television, smartphones, tablets and computers. Most networks will start live coverage from London beginning at either 4 a.m, or 5 a.m Eastern Time on Saturday – but if you are not a morning person many of the networks and cable channels, including CBS, E!, ABC, TLC and HBO, will offer wedding highlights during more reasonable evening hours. Britbox subscribers can watch UK channel ITV’s live coverage of the celebrations for an authentic British look at everything a royal wedding entails. They will begin their live streaming starting at 4:25 a.m. ET. Likewise, BBC America will simulcast BBC One’s coverage from Britain, beginning at 4 a.m. ET so you can watch the royal events unfold just as people in the U.K. would. Of course if you are really upset about not being there in person the ABC News iOS app just introduced an ‘augmented reality’ feature, which will allow users to take pictures of themselves next to the royal carriage, or the Queen’s guard!
