Citrus scents are great for adding a much needed pep in your step. Lemon, lime, grapefruit and blood orange essential oils can all help beat tiredness. Cinnamon leaf oil, peppermint, tea tree oil and eucalyptus are all great for soothing stress and helping to banish feelings of sluggishness.
There are several ways you can use these essential oils when you need to feel a little more energized – you can simply take a sniff, or put a few drops on a handkerchief to carry with you, add a few drops to a carrier oil and massage into your skin, or scent your space using a diffuser. Instead of reaching for a sugary treat, we love adding 3 drops orange, 2 drops lemon and 1 drop peppermint to our workspace diffuser to help alleviate the afternoon slump.
