Todd Fisher has posted a touching tribute to his mother, Debbie Reynolds, and sister, Carrie Fisher, after they passed away within less than 24-hours of one another.
The picture, showing Carrie in her famous role as Princess Leia in Star Wars, and Debbie in her famous ‘Singing in the Rain’ role, reads, “What a glorious feeling. I’m happy again.”
Fisher revealed in the Twitter post, “This is a beautiful love story to witness in my 58 years. I miss them both so much. Love is everlasting.”
Todd’s elder sister, Carrie, suffered a massive heart attack during a flight from London to Los Angeles. She was rushed to hospital upon landing at LAX, but failed to regain consciousness.
In a shocking turn of events, Debbie Reynolds suffered a massive stroke while planning Carrie’s funeral at Todd’s home and never recovered. In a telephone interview with E! News Todd revealed, “She went to be with Carrie. In fact, those were the last words that she spoke this morning….she held it together beautifully…but was under a lot of emotion and stress from the loss and it’s pretty much what triggered this event.”
The mother/daughter duo, known for their witty sense of humor, were very close – they even lived next door to one another.
