It’s hard to believe it has been twenty-years since Jack and Rose stole our hearts and left us sobbing into our Kleenex, but Titanic fans will get a chance to revisit the monumental movie when it returns to select movie theaters during the first week of December. The movie will be shown in select AMC Movie Theaters and according to Fortune, the movie will be shown in either 2D, or 3D and has been remastered in Dolby Vision’s ultra-high definition format. Titanic director, James Cameron, released a statement saying, “We mastered a few minutes of Titanic in Dolby Vision and I was stunned. It was like seeing it for the first time. Now that the entire film has been mastered, I’m excited to share it with audiences across the U.S. This is beyond 3D, beyond 70mm, it’s beyond anything you’ve ever seen before.” “The images leap off the screen as bright and vibrant as life itself,” Cameron said of the movie, which garnered 11 Academy Awards when it was released in 1997 and helped solidify the star-power of actors Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. “This is the way all movies should be seen and without a doubt, Titanic has never looked better.”
