According to the Powerball lottery website, the jackpot will soar to $650 million. That makes it one of the biggest in history!
So what are the odds you could win the powerball? The lottery estimates there to be a 1 in 292 million chance of matching all six numbers and a 1 in 11.68 chance of matching five of them.

The Powerball is played in 44 states, along with Washington D.C, the U.S Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
