Lebanon is at war with Israel and the Associated Press reports this may be the reason for the movie being banned, since the film’s star – Gal Gadot – served in the Israeli army for two years.

According to the Associated Press the ban is in accordance with a decades old law that prohibits Lebanese citizens from traveling to, or having contact with Israelis. It also boycotts the sale of Israeli products in Lebanon.
